*After a long pause the English, German, and Russian Forums of the Moncredo website are operating again.* Regretfully, the original, user-friendly organization of the forums and of the guest-book made them not only easily accessible and popular among the admirers of Mireille Mathieu and friends of the website, but also an easy victim for malicious spam senders. Many attempts to block an automatically generated avalanche of stupid and obscene messages were in vain. It turned out necessary to follow the way chosen today by most websites and to allow placing messages (or answers) only to registered users, via their login and password. (However, you need not necessarily be registered if you want only to read existing messages.) The new system of registered access to the forums is more complicated and therefore less convenient for the guests – please be attentive in following the demands and recommendations for using the new Forum page! On the other side, it provides you with some options which have not been envisaged before (for example, in arranging a personal control panel and in a possibility to attach a small – up to 1 Mb – file to your messages). The outlook and structure of the Forum page also had to be changed, so that now it differs from the other pages of the website. Moreover, the new messages sent after re-opening the Forums in June 2007 are separated from earlier messages (and message threads), which, together with the entries in the former Guestbook (discontinued), can be found in the archives of the forums. Welcome to the new forums!

MM Video and audio records, free download The most important and pleasant development of the last months for numerous admirers and fans of Mireille Mathieu all over the world: A large and quickly growing collection of video records (including complete concerts and programs, their fragments, and single songs) has been made available by Jim Witt (Middletown, Ohio, U.S.A.), and the entire Moncredo collection of audio records - which is also steadily expanding! - by Olga Belan (Bromley, Kent, England). All records can be downloaded free from Jim's and Olga's Folder Share libraries after you get from them corresponding access permissions and instructions. Updating the website From the pages "Photos" and "Downloads" you get access to a supplementary (temporarily installed) Photo Gallery which has been designed and prepared for installation also by Olga Belan. It contains ca. 400 photos, CD-coversheets, etc. that supplement the original Moncredo Photos-pages created by Michael and stem mostly from the donations by Andrius Shimkus, Catherine Marot, Frank and Sonja Hüttig, Frédéric Lasseur, Jim Witt, Marika Krause, Monika Fickel, Richard Roux, Steve in Australia, Yuri Karavaev and other contributors of this website, as well as from Olga's private collection. The "Downloads"-page has also a new section with Mireille-posters by Richard Roux (Nice, http://www.rrouxpaintings.com). As already mentioned, the Moncredo collection of audio records is steadily expanding, and the list of songs looked for is accordingly shrinking. See the "Exchange"-page where recent acquisitions (among them also versions and fragments of songs, several sketches, etc.) are specially marked. The already traditional "Mireille Mathieu calendar" for the coming year 2005 is available this time in two versions (section "Downloads").

Many thanks to numerous contributors of the website, and especially to our French friends Catherine Marot and Frédéric Lasseur who added in the last months many new texts and data to the sections "Lyrics" and "Chronology" as well as to Olga Belan and Jim Witt who placed via Folder Share their video records and other materials at the disposal of the website visitors.

Updating the website

      Here are the most important website updates within the last four months:
      - New pages from Mireille's autobiography in English translation by Anna Dorofeeva (on the Home page);
      - Supplements and corrections to the Chronology section (Catherine Marot a.o.);
      - Many new song texts under Lyrics, especially French ones (contributions by Catherine Marot and Fred (Fréderic Lasseur));
      - Mireille Mathieu icons for Windows: You can replace standard program and file icons (symbols) on the desktop of your computer or in the Internet Explorer with alternative ones created by Olga; the icons, as well as her new posters (wallpapers), can be found under Downloads.

Many thanks to website contributors,
as well as to all those whose donations permanently supplement
the audio, video and photo collections left by Michael.
      Besides, you may already have noticed that, since March 2004, the lists of songs/texts in the Exchange and the Lyrics sections have been supplemented and rearranged, in order both to account for newer contributions (including versions, etc.) and to make the search for a record/a song easier due to cross-references to alternative titles, titles in other languages, etc. This system of cross-references is neither perfect nor complete; the site manager acknowledges with gratitude the corrections already made (e.g. by Fred and Olga) and is waiting for further suggestions.
      In response to numerous requests, the website manager wants to inform its friends and guests that a continuation of the sections Discography and Chronology for the years 2002-2003-2004... is not envisaged. For detailed information on current events and record releases please address the Mireille Mathieu official site and other fan sites (listed in the Links section). All relevant data and amendments for the preceding years are, however, very much welcome - as before!

On April 13, 2004 a new double-CD by Mireille Mathieu is going to be released. It bears the title "Bonjoir Mireille" and contains songs which partly must have never been published before. It is possible to order the new CD already now from www.amazon.de. Friendly information from Monika Fickel.

Acknowledgements

The structure and the contents of the website do not undergo any significant changes. However, during the last few months numerous additions and some refinements have been made due to the kind contributions by Anna Dorofeeva (new chapters from Mireille Mathieu's autobiography "Oui je crois" in English translation; Home section), Carlos Eduardo da Silva, Linda Marie, Marcin Dabrowski, and Paul (Chronology section), Sibylle Gärtner, Mickey Hernández, and Maciek Mejs (Lyrics section), Amano (Links section). Website news

      Within the last 2.5 months the Mon Crédo website has been updated with new sections from Mireille's autobiography in English translation (contribution by Anna Dorofeeva), with many new German song texts (contribution by Sandra Schäfer) and one French song text (contribution by Hélène Molin-Gautron) under Lyrics, with a wallpaper-poster by Olga Belan under Downloads, as well as with several additions and corrections under Discography and Lyrics (Michel de Meester, Serge B.).
Many thanks to all, permanent and new, contributors.
     On January 29, a hacker attack completely destroyed the website together with many other sites on the same server. Its main contents could be successfully restored, but, regretfully,
          the visitors' statistics and ratings,
          the Forum letters,
          the Guestbook entries and
          the changes in the mailing list
from the period between September 2002 and January 2003 got lost.
     Dear friends of Mon Crédo, please be so kind as to send again the Guestbook entries that you want to reappear there, and to renew your and your friends' subscription (under News) if it was made during this critical period.

     There are also several additions to the Memorial website www.michael-helimski.com (Verse, Forum, Links), including a link to Michael Helimski memorial page on the fansite maintained by Monika Fickel.

     Michael's mother Anna, assisted by Olga Belan and Arkady Katsman, commemorated the anniversary of Michael's death by creating a special memorial section of her website, containing i.a. the pages "From Album", "Photos by Michael", and a guestbook.

Updating the website

The Lyrics section is supplemented with many new MM German texts submitted by Sandra Schäfer and Gabrielle Seemann, as well as with one more French song, submitted by Charlesicre, and two French-Finnish texts (at the end of the list, under "Suomeksi"). Several sections (Home, Lyrics, Downloads, Exchange, Links) have been partly actualised. Regretfully, the German fansite "Mireille Mathieu pour toujours" (together with several less important links) is not any more on the net; another German site is under preparation ("Sachsen für Mireille", to be maintained by Monika Fickel).

Updating the website

     The Lyrics section is supplemented with 9 new MM German texts submitted by Sandra Schäfer - her further contributions are expected and appreciated in advance, because many German lyrics are still missing.
     Under Downloads you can find now two formerly promised wallpapers by Olga Dorofeeva and a new wallpaper (poster) by Mari. Besides, Olga Dorofeeva managed to restore most older desktops which turned darker in the course of last months (why and how? - the administrator will be thankful for explaining the reasons of this effect to him).
     A new link (No. 17) to a French website with a report about Mireille Mathieu and a short interview has been indicated by Monika Fickel.

From the friends of Mireille, Michael, and Moncredo

1) Alexander Larionov (St. Petersburg) sings Je t'aime avec ma peau ("La liberté c'etait ma vie...") from Mireille's repertoire - this website enabled him ro find its lyrics.
2) This July a boat cruise on Rhone/Saône France's brought Monika Fickel (Chemnitz) and her son Peter to Avignon where they met in Mathieu florist's shop with Réjane and than visited the cemetery with Mathieu family tomb.

An excerpt from Moni's account: "Über Nacht machte das Schiff Fahrt zum nächsten Anlaufpunkt, der da hieß Avignon. Mein Traumziel erreichten wir am 5. Juli gegen 13.30 Uhr. [...]. Ich habe erst mal nur die Bilder vom Besuch bei Réjane scannen lassen. [...]Nachdem wir uns um zwei Straßenzüge verlaufen hatten und zum Glück einen Stadtplan als Hilfsmittel hatten, fanden wir den Weg zu Réjane und ihrem Blumenladen gegen 17.30 Uhr. Wir trafen auch Réjane und es entwickelte, so gut es ging in französisch und englisch ein kleines Gespräch. Dann kaufte ich noch einen Blumenstock mit den Lieblingsblumen von Roger Mathieu und wir begaben uns auf den Friedhof zur Familiengruft Mathieu. Obwohl mir Réjane den Weg zum Grab aufgezeichnet hatte, vergaß ich aber in der ganzen Aufregung, der Hitze und Eindrücke diese Skizze. Also irrten wir zwischen den riesigen Grabsteinen hin und her. Schließlich suchten wir den Friedhofswärter auf, erklärten ihm unser Anliegen. Da holte er so eine Art Elektrokarren (wie man ihn auch beim Golfspielen verwendet), und fuhr uns in Formel 1-Manier zum Grab. Danach begaben wir uns zurück auf's Schiff."

Mireille on German TV / Updating the website

On Friday, August 30, 2002, at 20.15 MET the TV station hr (Hessische Rundfunk 3) shows "Mireille Mathieu in Paris" in the program ,,Kein schöner Land''. Enjoy yourself, and thanks to Frank&Sonja from www.musik-and-show.de for this information!

Two songs in the section Lyrics, Donne ton coeur, donne ta vie and Pardonne-moi ce caprice d'enfant, appear now in two versions, one of them being supplemented by J.Bohème from Finland with guitar chords. The texts/chords are preceded with a short explanatory letter. Thank you, paljon kiitoksia, J.Bohème!

New Internet links (Nos. 14, 15, partly No. 11) have been indicated by Olga Dorofeeva.

It will take some time before a major contribution by Jean-Jacques Bärtschi to Lyrics takes its place on the website. Ca. 190 additional French texts are going to make the Mon Crédo collection of texts to officially published Mireille's French studio and live records complete (!!!).
Thanks to Aleksandr Larionov, Bastian Sick, Jean-Jacques Bärtschi, Monika Fickel, Olga Dorofeeva, Valentin Verdin for other materials and/or proposals which are also waiting for their turn to be elaborated or implemented - insofar it will be technically possible.

On February 22, 2002 at 20:15-21:00 the German TV channel "WDR" will re-broadcast the program "Kein schöner Land: Von Freiburg nach Straßburg" from 11/6/2001 where Mireille Mathieu sang in playback two of her German hits: "Es geht mir gut, Chéri" and "Martin". Tomorrow, on Saturday, 16/2/2002 at 20:45 the French TV channel "Jimmy" will broadcast the show "Numéro 1 - Julio Iglesias" from 22/12/1981 in which Mireille Mathieu performed the song "Promets-moi" and also sang "La Mer" in duet with Julio Iglesias. The show will be re-broadcasted on 17/2/2002 at 12:45 and on 20/2/2002 at 02:40. Thanks to Andreas Pötzl for the information.

Mireille sings "La Marseillaise" at Luxembourg garden

Mireille Mathieu was France's representative to sing the National Anthem "La Marseillaise" at the French-American ceremony to commemorate the victims of the September 11 attacks on USA. The ceremony took place on Wednesday, January 30, 2002 in the Luxembourg garden in Paris near the small copy of the Statue of Liberty. Chronology

A new section has been added to "Mon Credo" - Chronology. There, as much as possible of Mireille's appearances since the beginning of her career will be listed. The section is still under development (and of course new information will be constantly added to it in the future), so there may be some errors in it. Also, the markings and the contents for the appearances I have on video haven't yet been added for most of the listing. Thanks to Jean-Claude Torres for providing most of the material to start the section with.

I hope to see some feedback from all of you on the new section!

The afternoon of December 2nd with Mireille

This afternoon was so nice for me, meeting Mireille Mathieu with other fans and friends of mine. I arrived at "Place de la Madeleine" with Julie, one of my best friends (a woman about as old as Mireille and as small too and she had never met Mireille before).

There's a restaurant next to the place, to which Mireille often goes, and as we were waiting for her, we decided to go to the front of the restaurant to see if maybe she was in there...

And in front the windows of the restaurant we suddenly saw Mireille inside singing a capella! We felt crazy and wanted to get inside so much!!! Then my friend Julie decided to dare to go into the restaurant (as small as she is) but the rest of us didn't, as we were six people and didn't want to disturb. When she was back she told us she could hear Mireille singing "Somewhere over the rainbow" without music... it was great I guess!!!

Then Mireille came out to the street, she looked a little different, but so, so nice!!! Her haircut was a bit shorter than usual.

There were lots of german fans who came especially from Germany to see Mireille (and the german fan club president, Chantal Muller, who's a very nice person) and they were in the restaurant with Mireille... Mireille speaks German very well, and English too.

I've taken lots of photos of Mireille. My friend Julie asked her to be on a photo with her, Mireille was OK with pleasure for that and I did the same afterwards (Julie took a photo of Mireille with me). She was so kind, smiling to us, that was so great!!!

So many people took photos and she was available for everybody, it's so kind of her.
She agreed with fans who asked her to have a picture just them and her, one after one, so I asked too and she said to me "how are you" as if she recognized me (maybe?) and gave me kisses without me having asked anything and then was ready for the photo with me, I was so, so happy!!!!!

About one hour passed outside, and then she went back to the restaurant (with her german friends, her mother, two of her sisters and one of her brothers). On the way back to the restaurant she was walking with Julie very close to her and they could talk together all the way. They were so close that we could imagine they were friends... Julie was so, so happy to see how kind is Mireille!

I'll keep for a long time a great memory of this fabulous afternoon.

Mireille will give 6 concerts in Olympia, Paris on November 19-24, 2002. After that she will be on tour in at least 10 different cities in France. There also may be a new french album for the concerts and the tour.

Mireille in Augsburg (on September 8, 2001)

This evening was very nice!!! In my hotel, I met Chantal Müller (German Fan Club) and 3 other fans, and we talked about Mireille before the show.

It was in the "Schwabenhalle", I think with nearly 2000 persons. There were a lot of fans of Roy Black, a German singer died in 1991...I think he wasn't very good, and I don't know what Mireille had to do with this singer.

At the beginning of the show, after Patrick Lindner (the moderator of this show) had sang a song, Mireille was presented and sang a medley with "An einem Sonntag in Avignon", "Hinter den Kulissen von Paris" and "Es geht mir gut, Chéri". She got a lot of applause and I was standing up with some other fans which were sitting in other parts of the hall and cried "Mireille - Mireille - Mireille...". There were also a lot of Mireille-fans,
also some doubles which were giving autographs and looked like Mireille (not as good as Mireille) - they are very horrible, I think.

After that, there came a lot of German "singers" which presented their new songs and talked about Roy Black...the show wasn't good. Finally, Mireille sang "Leg' dein Herz in meine Hand" at the end of the show. It was the last song, and after this, all people spent applause and the other stars were coming to Mireille, Patrick sang another song and I was running to Mireille with some other fans to give her flowers and to make a photo. But when the first 2 fans arrived by Mireille, her bodyguards went with her into the backstage. All the fans tried to come there, but it wasn't possible. But Mireille's driver talked to Chantal Müller and told her that Mireille will go out of the hall in a few minutes, and perhaps she will give some autographs...

All the fans were running out of the hall to the star-exit, it was raining at all and we weren't able to come in. I don't know why, but some fans were able to get in the backstage and talk to her there...

All the other fans were very angry, because one of Mireille's bodyguards said, all can go into the checkroom, but not all in one time...and after 20 minutes of waiting in the rain, Monique was seen... Shortly after that, Mireille came out...she directly went to car, because her bodyguards didn't wait.

I thought I'll never see Mireille and I'll never get an autograph today, but like a wonder, Monique opened the car door on her side and said to Chantal that Mireille would like to give some autographs... Mireille was very sorry, because the promoter told her to go out of the hall very fast, so she didn't have time to see her fans backstage. I ran to Chantal and gave her my poster on which I wanted Mireille to write. And really... she wrote my name and gave me also 3 autograph cards...it was so nice.

After that, I went to the other side of the car were Mireille was sitting and I photographed her giving autographs. She looked very good this evening.

And after that, I was standing alone outside of the other fans with another friend (no MM-Fan) who came with me for fun - Mireille was driven away and we waved her and she waved back!!! She looked at us and was smiling...
